The HTC 10 is currently the manufacturer's flagship handset, although that will change once the HTC U is launched in May (according to tipster Evan Blass). Meanwhile, the Verizon branded version of the 10 has finally received the long awaited update to Android 7.0 Nougat. The update is version 2.41.605.12. When you receive the notification telling you that the new files have been downloaded on your phone, make sure you are on a Wi-Fi network and have a fully charged battery bef ore installing them on your device.

Android 7.0 comes with Data Saver. This feature allows you to decide which apps won't use data in the background. The goal is to stretch out your data bucket so that you don't go over your data cap. The update also adds customizable Quick Settings, and allows you to reply to messages directly from the notifications shade. Android 7.0 adds all the emoji you could want thanks to Unicode 9.0, and the split-screen feature allows two apps to run simultaneously side-by-side. Multi-window allows two apps to run together with one on top of the other.
In case you were wondering, the HTC 10 came out of the box with Android 6.0 and HTC Sense 8 UI. The HTC U is rumored to come with Android 7.1.1 pre-loaded, carrying Sense 9 on board.
