Idea Cellular revises Rs 348 plan to offer 1 GB data per day, unlimited calls
NEW DELHI: Idea Cellular, the country's third largest telecom operator, has revised its Rs 348 plan for prepaid subscribers, and it is now offering unlimited local and STD calls bundled with 1GB 4G data usage per day with FUP for 28 days. The revised plan is available for 4G handset users.

The telecom operator was earlier offering 500 MB data usage per day under this plan.

Bharti Airtel and Vodafone, India's top two telecom operators are already offering similar plans for their respective prepaid customers.

Airtel is offering 1 GB 4G data per day bundled with unlimited calls. The Rs 345 plan offers 1GB of 4G data per day along with local and STD voice calls free per month. This 1GB data will be available as 500MB on day time and 500MB on night hours.

Vodafone's Rs 342 plan offers unlimited calling along with 28GB of data per month with FUP of 1GB per day.

State-run telecom opeartor BSNL is also offering 2 GB data per day bundled with unlimited BSNL-to-BSNL calls for 28 days under its Rs 339 plan.

Moreover, 4G entant Reliance Jio has extended the deadline for subscriptions to its paid plans till April 15, and waived off monthly recharges for the next three months to all those who register in that time, intensifying a brutal price war being waged in the market.

Those enrolling into Jio Prime by April 15 by paying Rs 99 along with their first purchase of the telco's Rs 303 or other plans of higher amounts will get services till July end on a "complimentary basis," under the "Summer Surprise" offer, the company said in a statement Friday. These users will need to next recharge their plans only in August.
