Tonight, the Geekbench benchmark test results for the Xiaomi Mi 6 were discovered. The next flagship phone from the company once known as China's Apple, is ex pected to be unveiled on April 19th in Beijing. According to Geekbench, the Mi 6 will feature the Snapdragon 835 chipset carrying an octa-core CPU (which was running at 1.90GHz for the test) and the Adreno 540 GPU. 6GB of RAM is included and Android 7.1.1 runs the show.
On Geekbench's single-core test, the Xiaomi Mi 6 managed to score 2006 while it tallied a high 6438 multi-core score. In both tests, the Mi 6 managed to beat the Samsung Galaxy S8, which managed to post single-core and multi-core scores of 1916 and 6011 , respectively. The Mi 6 also outperformed the Samsung Galaxy S8+, which scored a single-core test result of 1929 and a multi-core test result of 6084. It should be pointed out that the specs of the Galaxy S8+ are the same as those for the Galaxy S8 except for the larger screen and the larger capacity battery used with the former.
Besides the specs listed on Geekbench, the Xiaomi Mi 6 is expected to feature a 5.15-inch display with a resolution of 1080 x 1920 (FHD). A 19MP camera will adorn the back of the unit, and an 8MP selfie snapper is on the front of the handset. Keeping the lights on is a 3200mAh battery, and MIUI 8, based on Android Nougat, will be pre-installed.
