China's Transsion Holdings which is also known for selling smartphones under brands like Itel and Infinix is all set to debut in India with a new brand name called Tecno Mobile. The company will starts with the launch of its i-series in India. The new TECNO smartphone range includes five models - i3, i3 Pro, i5, i5 Pro and i7 in a price range of Rs 7,990 to Rs 14,990. While i5, i5 Pro, i3 and i3 pro will all be available across 3 states of Rajasthan, Gujarat and Punjab from April 22, the i7 will be hitting the market during early May 2017. These phones will be available in Champagne Gold, Sky Black and Space Grey colour options.
"All Tecno smartphones are specially 'Made for India' which is reflected through the prefix 'i' in smartphones range. The software algorithm of the camera is optimized as per Indian consumer localised needs in terms of skin tone, colour preference, contrast etc. that enables consumers to capture images tr uer to Indian skin tones even in low light conditions," says the company.

To start with i3 specifications, the phone is priced at Rs 7,990 and comes with 2G/3G/4G VoLTE support. The dual SIM smartphone runs the company's own HiOS, based on Android 7.0 Nougat. It has 2GB RAM and 16GB ROM. The smartphone features 8MP rear camera with 4 LED Flash and AF f/2.0. There is also a front camera of 8MP. i3 smartphone is backed by 3050mAh Polymer Lithium-Ion battery. The i3 Pro is almost similar to i3 except its has 3GB RAM and an anti-oil fingerprint sensor. "he new Anti-Oil Fingerprint sensor in Tecno Smartphone allows you to unlock your phone anytime anywhere under all Indian lifestyle and weather conditions. " It has 16GB internal storage and runs HIOS V1.1.
Next is the i5 and i5 Pro that will cost its buyers Rs 11,490 and Rs 12,990 respectively. The i5 has 2GB RAM and 16GB internal storage while the i5 Pro comes with 3GB RAM and 32GB storage. Both the phones support fast charging and 4000mAh polymer Lithium ion battery.
Last is the i7 which is the costliest of all with a price tag of Rs 14,990. The smartphone sports a 5.5-inch full-HD (1080x1920 pixels) IPS display and runs the company's HiOS based on Android Nougat. The dual SIM i7 is powered by 1.5GHz octa-core processor married with 4GB RAM. The Tecno i7 comes with 32GB of inbuilt storage which can be expanded using a microSD card. The smartphone houses 400mAh battery and supports fast Charging and 4G VoLTE.
