OnePlus 3, OnePlus 3T gets OxygenOS 4.1.3 based on Android Nougat 7.1.1

As always, this is an incremental update so it is first released to a bunch of users and will gradually roll out to all.

OnePlus rolled out a new update for its OnePlus 3 and OnePlus 3T, earlier this week. The update brings OxygenOS 4.1.3 which is based on Android Nougat 7.1.1. If you are running on the latest version of OxygenOS, you should get an OTA update notification soon, however, if you are running Opem Beta then you need to flash this update manually via USB sideload which requires wiping of entire user data. As always, this is an incremental update so it is first released to a bunch of users and will gradually roll out to all.

The new update borrows a lot of changes from the previous OxygenOS update such as addition of expanded screenshots, Improved picture taking of moving objects with blur reduction, Improved video stability when recording, Improved WiFi connectivity and Improved Bluetooth connectivity. Apart from this, the new update fixes the Instagram swipe bug and also claims to have fix hardware buttons malfunction bug. The company didn't say any word about the Android Security Patch in this update so let us know in the comment section below as to which security patch does this update brings with it?

For the Bluetooth logging issue, Tony L., on OnePlus forums, posted -  "For those experiencing bluetooth logging issue on previous 7.1.1 builds, you can free up your storage space by deleting the oem_log folder. Please go to File manager > Storage > oem_log > Delete."

Unfortunately, the new OxygenOS 4.1.3 didn't bring anything from a tonne of features which OnePlus released in the latest Open Beta 4 for OnePlus 3T and Open Beta 13 for OnePlus 3. To quickly brief you about the features, the latest Open Beta boasts a new Pixel-like launcher, round icons, icon shortcuts, a dedicated gaming mode, Quick Pay for India and a lot more.

Nevertheless, OnePlus has been very impressive with the updates this season especially for its OnePlus 3 and OnePlus 3T while we can't really say that about the OnePlus 2 and the long forgotten OnePlus One. The company is already working full throttle for the upcoming OnePlus 5 which does look robust atleast on paper.
