The latest gossip regarding the Samsung Galaxy S8 and S8 Plus is here and it's a rather intriguing one.
Yet, it's only logical to assume that Samsung will be using a similar solution to achieve this - the Galaxy S8's camera will most probably sport an additional DRAM memory element between the camera's sensor and the circuitry of the image signal processor. Such a module is necessary for extreme slo-mo video recording due to the large amounts of data that the sensor captures, as these need to be stored somewhere before the ISP can deal with all the incom ing information.
Aside from the rear camera, the same source that corroborates the rumor that the selfie snapper of the Galaxy S8 will be getting upgraded with autofocus. As a refresher, we expect this one to remain an 8MP shooter, but that won't be the only camera in the front - there will most definitely be a 3.7MP one that will scan your iris in order to unlock the phone.
That's just the tip of the iceberg, though: there are tons of other leaks regarding the Galaxy S8 and S8 Plus. Until those two get announced on March 29, we will have to resort to our numerous posts that explore the S8/S8 Plus in greater detail. Check them out below:
