Samsung Galaxy Tab S3 render and latest rumored specs appear

Expected to be unveiled at MWC in a little more than three weeks, the Samsung Galaxy Tab S3 originally was expected to greet the light of day in September. That never happened, but Samsung's own invitation to its event in Barcelona contained the image of a tablet, hinting at the introduction of the Galaxy Tab S3. As you probably know by now, the Samsung Galaxy S8 will appear at MWC in the form of a video teaser as the new flagship won't be unveiled until late March.

Today, a render of the Galaxy Tab S3 has surfaced, and appears to be based on the sketch that Samsung provided for the FCC certification. The single camera setup with the flash directly underneath is seen on both the drawing and the render. There is some speculation that Sammy will employ a dual curved-edge display which would be a first for one of its tablets.

The latest rumored specs include a 9.6-inch AMOLED screen with a 2048 x 1536 resolution, and a 4:3 aspect ratio. Under the hood is the Snapdragon 820 chipset containing a quad-core CPU and the Adreno 530 GPU. 4GB of RAM is inside along with 32GB/128GB of native storage. A Type-C USB port in on board, and the camera combo weighs in back to front at 12MP and 5MP respectively. Android 7.1 is pre-installed.

We should find out all of the missing pieces, including pricing and availability, on February 26th in Barcelona.
