BeatsX wireless earphones will be released on February 10

Announced back in September, at the same time with Apple's AirPods and iPhone 7 family, the BeatsX wireless earphones are now finally ready to hit shelves in the US - following a delay of over a month. Beats (an Apple subsidiary since 2014) today announced that the earphones will go on sale this Friday, on February 10.

For the beginning, the new earphones will be sold only in white and black, with two other color options (blue and gray) coming at a later date. Priced at $149.95, the BeatsX will be available from Apple's online shop, in Apple retail stores, and via authorized retailers.

Using the same Apple W1 chip found inside the AirPods, the BeatsX wireless earphones can seamlessly connect to your iPhone, iPad, Apple Watch, or Mac. The earphones provide 8 hours of battery life, and, thanks to what Apple is calling "Fast Fuel" charging, you can get up to 2 hours of playback time after just 5 minutes of charging.

Unlike the AirPods, which are completely cable-free, the BeatsX earphones feature a Flex Form neckband - many users may actually prefer this design, instead of what the AirPods are offering.
