Well, it looks like starting this week, Netflix added a new functionality to its Android application, so subscribers will now be able to download their favorite movies o n SD cards.
According to developers, there's a new "Download Location" app settings within the mobile app, which allows users to control where to save downloaded content: internal storage or SD card. Keep in mind though that choosing to download content on the SD card will require new permissions.
There's a catch though, as the SD card support feature is not available on all devices and since there's no list with compatible phones/tablets, you might want to try it for yourself.
We know for sure that it won't work on the OnePlus One, but other than that there's no telling which devices will work with the new SD card functionality. The new update contains a couple of bug fixes a s well, so make sure to download it as soon as it goes live in your country.
