The iPad (2017) which was recently launched by Apple to replacing the company's previously launched iPad Air 2 is up for pre-order starting today on Flipkart. The prices start at Rs 28,900 for the 32GB Wi-Fi model.
The iPad starts at Rs 28,900 for the base 32GB with Wi-Fi version going all the way up to Rs 39,900 for the top-end 32GB Wi-Fi + Cellular version It has a faster A9 chip as compared to the older A8X chip inside the iPad Air 2. Polyurethane made Smart Covers for the new iPad are also available, priced at Rs 3,700. The colour options include charcoal gray, white, midnight blue, and pink sand.
"iPad is the world's most popular tablet. Customers love the large, 9.7-inch display for everything from watching TV and movies, to surfing the web, making FaceTime calls, and enjoying photos, and now it is even more affordable," Philip Schiller, Apple's senior vice president of Worldwide Marketing had said while announcing th e new iPad.
The new iPad comes with more or less similar specs as the iPad Air 2 replacing only the chipset inside. It is powered by newer 64-bit A9 chipset instead of the A8X chipset inside the iPad Air 2.
"New customers and anyone looking to upgrade will love this new iPad for use at home, in school, and for work, with its gorgeous Retina display, our powerful A9 chip, and access to the more than 1.3 million apps designed specifically for it."

Along with the new iPad, Apple also announced that it has doubled the storage inside the iPhone SE. The 16GB and 64GB versions of the iPhone SE have been upgraded to 32GB and 128GB respectively while rest of the hardware remains the same. The company also laun ched a new red colour variant of iPhone 7 and iPhone 7 Plus. The company has partnered with Product(RED) for the launch of this new edition and price starts at Rs 82,000.
