The latest TENAA certification indicates that the Xiaomi Mi Note 2 is finally ready to hit stores and its specifications are revealed much earlier to the official launch.
The Xiaomi Mi Mix stole the limelight in 2016 because the Note 2 was not ready for sales by that time. It was rumored that the company wanted to go with a OLED display panel manufactured by LG. However, when LG failed to deliver the display panels in time they were forced to halt the launch and bring the Mi Mix. Things seem to be more favorable for Xiaomi now as it has already acquired the TENAA certification.
According to the post, the phone features a decently large 5.7-inch display and given the delay it is the OLED display that they have gone with. If they choose to skip it and go with an IPS panel, it hardly justifies the wait time. The processor used in the smartphone is said to be powered by Qualcomm Snapdragon 821 at the moment. There is a brand new SoC designed by the company that they may use in the Mi Note 2 or they could go with the older Snapdragon flagship chip from Qualcomm. It is coupled with Adreno 530 GPU.

Xiaomi is aiming to be a powerful competitor to brands like Apple and Samsung. The OLED screen is not the only upgrade but the Mi Note 2 has a 22.56 megapixel rear camera powered by Sony's IMX318 Sensor. It supports PDAF, EIS and even 4K videos with automatic stabilization. The front is equally powerful with 8 megapixel shooter and it is easily more than what any selfie lover would need. The phone has Aquatic audio, Wifi, Bluetooth and supports Mi Pay through NFC. Pricing and availability of the device will be announced as Xiaomi usually does during their launch event.
