AT&T starts rolling out Android 7.0 Nougat update for LG G5

Following the release of Android 7.0 Nougat for Samsung Galaxy S7 and Galaxy S7 edge, AT&T is now seeding the same update for another 2016 flagship smartphone, the LG G5. Although AT&T hasn't made it official yet, many customers report Android 7.0 Nougat has arrived on their LG G5 smartphones.

According to the screenshots published on Reddit, LG G5 owners at AT&T should look for a firmware update with build number NRD90U. It appears that the update is about 1.5GB in size , so make sure you have enough storage before attempting to upgrade to Android 7.0 Nougat.

Aside from the good stuff that Android 7.0 Nougat update brings, AT&T G5 users will also get the January security patch. Expect some significant UI changes as well, along with new Google emoji and better battery life.

If you haven't been notified of the update yet, keep in mind that you will only be able to check for availability once per day. It's also worth noting the Android 7.0 Nougat update is pushed OTA (over the air), and you can capture it via Wi-Fi connection.
