Apple to retain a similar design for iPhone 7s while iPhone 8 is tipped to come with a new design

iPhone 8 (or iPhone X) will boast a stainless steel frame along with a glass front and back which might be a lot similar to the design we saw in iPhone 4 and 4s.

iPhone is probably the most talked about device of every year and even though Apple might be struggling to sell the current iPhone 7 and 7 Plus in India, the rumours for the next iPhone are at full throttle. Up till now, rumours suggests that the Cupertino-giant is gearing up for bringing three iPhones this year of which two are supposedly incremental upgrades to iPhone 7 and 7 Plus while one being the new revamped version dubbed as iPhone 8 (or iPhone X).

Further, a new report from DigiTimes reveals that Apple is likely to retain the aluminium design for iPhone 7s and 7s Plus which are mentioned as incremental upgrades above. On the other hand, iPhone 8 (or iPhone X) will boast a stainless steel frame along with a glass front and back which might be a lot similar to the design we saw in iPhone 4 and 4s.

Moreover, another report from Mac Okatara confirms that the 4.7-inch iPhone 7s and 5.5-inch iPhone 7s Plus will come with an aluminium design with all the limelight shifted to the new iPhone 8. Meanwhile, according to Ming-Chi Kuo, an analyst at KGI Securities, Apple is finally working to bring wireless charging to the next iPhone. Even though earlier rumours suggested that the new wireless charging technology will be restricted to iPhone 8 only, latest leaks suggest otherwise and tips that Apple might bring wireless charging to all the upcoming iPhone variants.

To implement this, Apple will reportedly put a new 3D Touch module along with an additional graphite sheet to prevent the device from heating. If you are not aware, wireless charging generally hikes up the internal temperature of the device and iPhone 8 rumoured to come with glass casing can take in a lot more heat than required. So putting a 3D Touch module inside the device does make sense. On the other hand, Apple is also working to implement Iris scanner on the upcoming iPhone which we suspect will be much similar to what we saw in last year's deceased Galaxy Note 7.

To sum up, Apple is expected to launch three iPhones this year. A 4.7-inch iPhone 7s and a 5.5-inch iPhone 7s Plus with similar design and updated internals (possibly a new A11 chip) and a the much-awaited iPhone 8 (or iPhone X) with a new design language, new features, new internals and a hefty price tag which tipsters predicts to be over $1000 which should be highly attributed to Apple's decision to go with OLED screens for the iPhone 8.
