Sony still working to fix Android 7.0 Nougat update for Xperia Z5, Z3+ and Z4 Tablet

Sony kicked off the roll-out of Android 7.0 Nougat for a couple of Xperia devices last week, but a few days ago the Japanese company announced it has pulled the update from its servers and halted the deployment.

However, those who captured the update by the time Sony stopped the roll-out complain about unusual battery drain after upgrading to Android 7.0 Nougat. It's been almost a week and Sony did not yet manage to address all the issues that made it pull the update in the first place.

The handset maker recently posted a short message to its fans saying that its engineers are "still working on the inconsistencies in Nougat for Z5, Z3+ and Z4 Tablet."

According to Sony, "priority is user experience," so we're really hoping the Japanese company will squash all the bugs found after the roll-out commenced. Expect Sony to resume the push of Android 7.0 Nougat to all the Xperia devices mentioned earlier.

If you've been wondering why your Xperia Z5, Z3+ or Z4 Tablet hasn't yet received Android 7.0 Nougat, then here is your answer. Hopefully, Sony will kick off the roll-out of the update sooner rather than later.
