The result of the collaboration between Huawei and Porsche Design, the premium version of Mate 9 is now available for pre-order for no less than €1395. However, it's no surprise that the cost of the handset is so high, as both Huawei and Porsche Design announced for how much it will retail a few months ago.
The Porsche Design Mate 9 comes with a couple of improvements over the original model, such as the 5.5-inch curved dual-edge display that supports Quad HD (2560 x 1440 pixels) resolution.
Huawei's powerful Kirin 960 chipset drives the core of the Mate 9, complemented by 6GB of RAM and 256GB of storage. Unlike the standard Mate 9, Porsche Design's version has ditched the microSD card slot.
The phone's body is made of graphite black brushed metal, and covered with Gorilla Glass in the front. On the back of the smartphone Huawei included a state-of-the-art Leica dual-lens camera comprising of 12MP RGB camera and 20MP monochrome camera.
Porsche Design Mate 9 is powered by a more than decent 4,000 mAh battery with fast charging (58% in 30 minutes). It's got global roaming with dual-SIM and fingerprint sensor.
It's also worth noting that the sales package contains a customized leather smart cover, a Porsche Design premium stereo headset, and two charger-plugs (EU and UK).
