These are thin phones. The Moto Z is just 5.19mm thin. They have superb battery life. While the Moto Z Force has a 3500mAh battery stuffed inside, it is the Moto Z Play that is the battery life champ among the three. And with Turbo Charging, all three models take just minutes to provide users with enough juice for the rest of the day. All of the Moto Z handsets have the pins on the back of each phone allowing them to be attached to the Moto Mods modular accessories such as the InstaShare projector, Incipio OFFGRID power pack, JBL SoundBoost speaker, Hasselblad True Zoom camera and more. The Moto Z Force sports the second-generation Shattershield screen. Combining this with the P2i nano-coating, the top-of-the-line unit can fall without the screen cracking and survive a rain storm or a spill without damaging the device.
Lenovo has been realistic about the Moto Z line. David Roman, Senior Vice President and Chief Marketing Officer of the company, says that it had no plans for beating out Apple or Samsung with the Moto Z models. Launched last summer, the executive says that if the the three handsets can capture even a small fraction of the smartphone market, Lenovo would call it a success.
And Lenovo could be prepping a new Moto Z (2017). We recently caught a new version of the phone on Geekbench powered by the Snapdragon 835 chipset, carrying 4GB of RAM and Android 7.1.1.
